Research indicates that student success is bolstered when they are actively engaged in their learning. This session provides an overview of free/low-cost tools such as Kahoot! and Plicker for engaging students in any classroom setting. Student response systems (clickers) allow instructors to gather instantaneous feedback on a student’s level of comprehension. This type of feedback gives instructors the ability to be agile in their teaching, allowing them to review concepts that students may be struggling to understand. Additionally, students gain deeper insights into their depth of knowledge on a subject. This insight empowers students to seek out additional help when needed.
